Margaret and Leonie, Michael and Basil, Angeline, Jimmy, Barry, Phillip, Adrian and Niall, I was so sorry to hear of the death of your Beautiful Mam, Margey. I remember Margey so well, from when you all lived back in Silliogue. Margey was some woman; legendary even then. She always had the most beautiful welcoming smile, always singing and looking like Shirley Bassey, she regularly entertained us all. Margey ran her beautiful home, cooking amazing meals, and giving everyone their chores; Margey brought up her ten children, teaching them life skills, all as if it was the easiest thing in the world!

I spent many a day in Sillogue with Margaret, singing and dancing, and practising jiving with Michael, in the kitchen. Never a dull moment in 92, encouraged by Margey. She wanted the best for her children, encouraged you all, and was so proud of each one of you. She loved you all, and your Dad, with all her heart, as indeed you loved her. And listening to Lisa and Leonie at her Funeral Mass, I know she was the most amazing and fun Grandmother. Always remember Margey was generous, and she passed all these gifts down to her children and grandchildren. A part of Margey still lives on in each one of you, her family and extended family. My thoughts are with you all now, at this sad time.
