Aisling and family, every time we met her in Carlow, and especially at David's confirmation, Margaret was engaging company and a wonderful host. We last saw her outside the church after Zoe's First Communion, She was obviously ill, but her love for Zoe and the rest of the family brought her out to share that moment.

That Margaret's sad death happened now means she and you have been robbed of the farewell the community wanted to give her. That will happen in the future, and as you grieve, remember that you are loved as Margaret was, and she and Barry both live on in you and your children.

My heart is broken for you all.

Your "Ma" was one of those really special mums that not everyone is lucky enough to have. She was always so welcoming, good-humoured, funny, warm, and a true lady. Her grandchildren adored her, and she them. I know how popular and loved she was, and I am just so sad that I and everyone else couldn't be there to support you all at this awful time. I'm sending you all my love and look forward to celebrating her life with you when this is all over.

Very sad to hear about Margaret the other day. So sorry for you all it’s during such a difficult time. Her send off would have been packed as she was so loved & popular. She was a legend on the Green Road with all the kids growing up.
When our Mam Clair died during the summer she came up to the house to see us and she was so sick herself.. It was lovely to see her that day. she was such a strong resilient lady.
My thoughts are with you all at this sad time. We have a candle lighting in our house thinking of you all xx
