Tribute to a Queen of Grace

Adieu to an elegant and classy matriarch. Long before it was popular, you were the woman who never forgot her nail polish, who wore her bling with pride, and dressed to impress—even if you were simply at home. Style wasn’t something you wore; it was who you were.

But beyond the glamour, it was your heart that left the greatest imprint. Your kindness was effortless, your love genuine, and your warmth embraced everyone blessed to cross your path. You were one of one—the original masterpiece, crafted by God with a uniqueness meant only for you.

Your legacy of grace, generosity, and dignity will forever light the path for us to follow. We carry your lessons in our hearts and your sparkle in our memories.

Till we meet again, to part no more.

With love and honor,
Ngozi Metu-Kalu
With a heavy heart, I pen down this short tribute for our recent loss and heaven's gain in your passing to glory.
Your were our "Lady of style and Poise" in those days. We were always admiring everything about you and looking forward to when we can aspire to get to your level.
I join to thank God for the gift He gave us in your person for these 89yrs. May the name of the Lord be glorified forever!
Pls rest in perfect peace even as the Holy Spirit comforts us all....Amen!

I have such fond memories of Mummy. She always welcomed me with warmth and called me Tonia nwam— a nickname that makes me smile. I’ll never forget her kind heart and the advice she shared with us when we were younger. She had a gentle way of guiding and caring for everyone around her. I’m so grateful to have known her, and she’ll always be remembered with love.
May her soul rest in peace, and may her legacy of kindness and wisdom continue to live on through you Oby and everyone she touched.

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of my beloved godmother. She was loving and always full of wisdom. Her presence brought warmth and comfort, and her memory will forever live in my heart.
She was more than family—she was a constant source of love, encouragement, and subtle strength in my life. Her kindness touched everyone she met, and her memory will forever be a blessing to all who knew her.

Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit lives on in the love she gave and the lives she touched. I will carry her in my heart always.

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of my beloved Aunty and Mummy. She was beautiful, loving and vivacious. Her presence brought subtle warmth and comfort to me as a young girl in Enugu back then , and her memory will forever live in my heart.
She’ was an inspiration to me growing up. Her kindness touched everyone she met, and her great memory will forever be a blessing to her children, her only surviving sibling, Aunty Lois Ofomata, who’s my Godmother and all of her loved ones. May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace, Amen❤️
Dear Mama,
There was never a time we would meet and (as the mother of my good friend and church sister) we met quite often, that I was not struck by your elegance and grace, add to that a kind and loving heart and indeed you were the perfect mother. It was always a pleasure to be in your company and I know you will be sorely missed by your children and grandchildren. Rest on sweet Lady in the bosom of the Lord.❤️❤️
Mama was such an epitome of beauty. Mama wa so beautiful outside and yet more beautiful inside. Always with a deep rooted smile on her face, words of wisdom in her mouth and prayers for anyone or everyone who approached her. Elegance filled with so much grace was her watchword, as she delicately and delectably walked to the front seat always, during the Sunday Services. You must, but notice Mama as she walked in. She was so sweet and no surprise Aunty Oby came from her!
Our Darling Presido, and the rest of the family, we pray that you be comforted on all sides, and strength be accorded you, Mama's Besto.
May Mama's beautiful soul find everlasting rest in the bosom of Jesus, .

My elegant and beautiful Aunty Maggie, with a good heart. You were never found wanting on all occasions at our house at Ogidi, good or bad.

You always fought and defended your own. Such a sweet and warm soul. Quite sad I didn't get to see you once more before your demise. Rest in peace till we meet again to stay forever.

Uchenna Nwabueze.
What a glorious exit!!!!!!! Mummy was an amazing woman. Beautiful, Caring, loving, always smiling and a fashionista. Always gorgeously dressed with all different types of sunglasses to compliment her dressing. I can never forget her kindness when my husband was ill in 2013. Mummy came with Oby to visit and my late husband and I enjoyed her visit so much that Tunji told Mummy to come often to greet him. Behold the next day Oby called to say that Mummy has been admitted in the hospital. Mummy you were a blessing to all Oby's friends and Oby copied that from you as she is a wonderful and dependable friend to all who knows her.
Mummy rest in perfect peace in the bosom of our God. You are dearly loved and you shall be forever missed.
It is with a heavy heart that I share in the sorrow of Aunty Maggie’s (fondly known as Mama Oby) passing. Her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit touched all of us in ways that words can hardly express. She had a way of making everyone feel seen and loved, and her memory will forever live on in the stories we tell and the love we carry forward. Though we grieve her loss, I find comfort in knowing that she is at peace with the Lord. To Aunty Lois, Big sister Oby, Bro Nnamdi, Sister Chinwe and Eby, I pray God grants you the fortitude to bear the loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you all and the rest of the family. May her legacy continue to shine through the lives of those she impacted. With deepest sympathy, Dr Tochukwu Onwuegbusi
A mother in Israel courageous and firm.Mama de mama,She has gone home to rest after her labour.I knew mama when we were in Warri 38years ago. She,s so caring and loving driving in her car from Enugu to Warri filling her car with food stuffs to Obystic’s at NNPC.A Loving and caring mother she took good care of us when we went to Enugu asking me if am comfortable.A woman who worked so hard to make sure her children get educated and have better life.Fashionista mama always on point in her dressing.Cheerful and God fearing who will always call me “mama Bimpe”.You lived a good and fulfilled life.
My sister and Friend OBYSTiCwill surely miss you.Mama always praying and thanking God in hymns for hours tirelessly..I can confidently say you came you saw,you travelled and you conquered.Continue to rest peacefully in the bossom of your maker..You’re greatly loved and deeply missed.Your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren will forever remember you. You’re finally at peace Adieu.beautiful Mama.
I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Mama. It’s hard to find the right words at a time like this, but I take comfort in knowing that God’s will is always perfect - even when we don’t understand it. He gives, and He takes away.

Mama was truly special. She had a kind and generous heart, always full of love and warmth. I will never forget how she fondly called me *“Pat Nnwam”* -Pat, my child- every time we spoke. That name carried so much affection and familiarity, and it’s something I will always cherish.

She was a woman of deep faith, a strong Christian who loved to pray and share stories from the past. Her joy in storytelling and her love for people made every moment with her memorable. Mama was also so stylish - always elegant, always graceful.

It’s hard to imagine not hearing her voice again or being called “Pat Nnwam.” But I know she is resting peacefully now, embraced by the love of the One she served so faithfully.

Sleep on, Mama. May your gentle soul rest in perfect peace, and may perpetual light shine upon you.

My Husband Yomi and I met Mama through her Daughter Oby in the early 1980s in Warri. .
Since then Mama has taken us to be part of her family .
Infact Mama was asking of me and my family just last August 2025 .
So I asked Oby to give me her phone number in Ireland .
I called her , She was so happy hearing my voice she said "Heooo Lola I just asked of you from Oby ."
So i said Mama Oby told me and I said I must call you .
She went on to ask about my Husband and children
She was so happy , her usual self
We talked for a while and I promised her I will be calling often .
But it has pleased God to call her home at this time . To God be the glory .
Mama was such a pretty woman, beautiful in and out , elegant , she has a special way of tying her head tie which brings out her beauty .
She was loving , accommodating down to earth and very appreciative. of every thing .
She was a good Woman Mother, Grand mother and Great grandmother.
May her beautiful. Gentle soul rest in Perfect peace .
Amen .
Whilst we were yet praying for healing grace, it pleased the Lord to arise with healing in His wings as Mum translated peacefully. She finished her race and exited gloriously. We thank God that she knew her God and served Him. We give thanks for the promise of eternal life in Christ Jesus. We have such fond memories of her hidden elegance and poise. Herself and her Sister were a sight to behold in Church always looking radiant. She cherished her family...always a people person. She will be sorely missed. Our thots and prayers for Oby, her siblings, grand children and great grandchildren.
Tribute to a Rare Gem –
Auntie, Second Mother, and a Wonderful God-Mother

Auntie, your sudden passing has left a void in my life that can never be filled, but my heart is also full of gratitude for the time we had together. I will forever cherish your wisdom, your incredible strength, and the way you could always make me smile no matter what.

Auntie Meg, I remember vividly the countless times you were there to offer advice and a listening ear. You weren’t just an aunt; you were a second mother, a confidante, and a true inspiration. Thank you for your unconditional love and for being such a guiding light in my life.

You taught me so much about kindness and compassion, and I promise to carry your legacy forward by living a life that honors you. When I ponder over your demise, I take solace in the fact that you lived a life worthy of emulation. Your beauty — inside and out — was second to none.

I pray that God in His Infinite Mercy gives your children, especially Auntie Oby and Auntie Ebere, the strength and fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss. Notwithstanding, you are the epitome of beauty, grace, and strength. I also pray that God grants my inestimable mother, Lady Lois Nwamaka, the fortitude to bear this painful loss of her dearest elder sister.

Though you are no longer with us, your memory will forever live on in my heart.

Rest in Peace, Auntie Enugu.
I love you always.
From your son Nonso Ofomata
Continue to rest in the bossom of the lord. May the light of the lord shine upon you as you journey to the great beyond

Your life was a blessing, and your memory will always be a treasure, mummy Enugu. You were a light in our lives, and we are so grateful for the moments we shared in this side of life.
Your courage and strength were an inspiration to all of us. Your legacy will live on.
You had a generous heart, a deep insight, and wisdom that will stay with us always.

Rest in peace, a woman of peace.
Rest in peace, mummy, grandma and great Grandma. You will always be in our hearts.
A tribute to my Great Aunt ❤️

Aunt Meg was an amazing person, a good person, a kind person who loved and cared for people unconditionally. An angel in a human body, she was the sweetest. She always had a smile on her face and radiated with an aura, you had to meet her to experience. She always made sure everyone was okay, she cared so much, so so much. She was a second grandmother to me and I’m grateful to God everyday for every interaction we had, be it in person or on the phone. She loved talking to me and I loved talking to her as well. She always let me know how much she cared and how much she rooted for me and I made sure to show her how much I cared about her too. Hearing the news was sudden, I didn’t know how to feel, It still feels surreal that I will never get to talk to her again but I thank the Lord for she life she lived! She lived 89 years, 89 years of touching lives far and wide, 89 long years of power! Heaven gained an angel and she will forever be remembered by the lives she touched!
Mama Oby,
Your time with us in VFC was very memorable. I remember the fun birthday ceremonies Oby had for you. You were a delight to be with.
I see your beautiful smile & manicured nails, even now.

Your love for music was obvious & Oby continues to showcase it.
Rest in peace, Mama.

Today, we gather to celebrate the life of my beloved Aunt Meg, a woman whose strength and grace touched everyone who knew her.
Aunt Meg had a way of making everyone around her happy and smiling.
Growing up I remember how we would visit her and she never fails to give us money. It always gave her joy.
I always admired her relationship and closeness with grandma, you will think they are twins. Aunt Meg isn’t just my aunt but my second grandma and I would miss her so much.
As we lay her to rest today, we celebrate a life beautifully lived one that left a lasting mark on every person she touched. Though we will miss her deeply, we find comfort in knowing her spirit lives on in all of us. Forever in my heart

I remember the very first time l met Mama, she was in a group made up of her daughter Oby, Oby's Aunt, that is Mama's sister, and one other lady. They came into the hair salon where l was having my hair done. I could not but notice the magnetic Mama's with their children. Gist and laughter galore in between pleasantries. Do you know they ended up in my house after their hair salon routines looking for my husband. Auntie wanted to visit with her cousin's son. What a small world. You can imagine my coming out to see the same jolly group again. "We've met today" l told them. 'Yes at the hair salon' Oby echoed. It is really a small world. Unfortunately Nnamdi was not home, Mama was kind of disappointed, but later we went to visit. I noticed that there was never a dull moment with Mama, she was a jolly old gal always on the move. It's a pity she is no longer with us. She should have stayed a while longer, but God Almighty knows best. May her lovely soul rest in peace. Amen.
Ọmalicha Mama de Maama, Ugo nwa gị misses you dearly. I didn't know that our last chat after your birthday on 4th September will be our last. By late 26th September night, I got this heart-wrenching message from Oby that said, " Mama m anagokwa oooo"! Mama I told you that I'm looking forward to your 90th but you were bent on going after seeing your beautiful mansion in heaven. I don't grudge you that because God loves you more. Sleep on sweet beautiful, adorable ,caring Mama until we meet on resurrection morning. Amen

I didn’t know her as deeply as her family did, but it was clear to anyone who met mama knew that she was a remarkable woman. Kind, warm, and full of quiet strength, she left a lasting impression on everyone around her.

Mama's love for her family was obvious, and her presence brought comfort and joy. Mama lived with grace, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

My thoughts are with the family during this time. May mama's soul rest in peace.
Grandma Margaret,
It seems so unreal to hear about your passing. I first met you over 30 years ago in Warri at the home of Oby and Jide Anubi. You welcomed me as family and that has remained so since.

I still have great memories of time spent with you, your laughter, humor, wisdom, candor and beautiful smile ALWAYS! Be it In Warri, Lagos, Enugu, Nnewi, your presence was always so wholesome.

We will miss you, Thank you especially for giving us your beautiful daughter Obiageli, who takes after you in so many ways.

Rest on Grandma at the feet of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ till we meet again ️️️

Tribute to Mummy Margaret Obiora
As I reflect on the life of our beloved Mummy Margaret Obiora, who graced this earth for 89 years, I feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude for having had the honor to serve as her vicar in Lagos. Though age prevented her from attending church physically, her spirit remained vibrant. She embraced the modern age with enthusiasm, often joining us online for worship, where her presence was felt even from afar.
I fondly remember the times I brought her Holy Communion at home, a sacred moment that connected us beyond the limitations of her health. Each visit was filled with warmth, laughter, and her illuminating wisdom, which enriched my own faith.
One of the most memorable occasions was her last visit with her sister, Lady Lois, to the Church before she left for Ireland. It was a day filled with joy, love, and gratitude for the many smiles, pictures, and pleasantries.
Mummy Margaret had an innate sense of style; she always dressed impeccably, reflecting her vibrant spirit and indomitable grace.
Mummy Margaret Obiora leaves behind a legacy of love and faith that will forever resonate in our hearts.
Rest in peace, dear Mummy; you will be sorely missed.

Asia Dozie O.
Your elegance, beauty, and kindness left an indelible mark on our lives.

From our childhood days at St. Barths Church, where you’d often be with your lovely sister, Auntie Lois, we admired your poise and warmth.

Your impeccable style, whether in traditional attire or English wear, was always on point, and your smile could light up a room!

We’ll never forget how you’d greet us Nwandus with open arms, kind words, and warmth.

I fondly remember that you were a fashionista, always well-groomed, and exuded poise. Your love for dressing well was inspiring, and your kindness was unmatched.

I recall how I’d greet you twice at Bazaar just so you’d buy me rice, and you’d kindly oblige .

Your legacy extends beyond our family, and I’m grateful to have known you. You were more than an aunt; you were a symbol of love, kindness, and elegance.

I’ll cherish the memories of your beautiful smile, your love for life, and your radiant personality.

Rest in peace, dear Auntie Meg. May your beautiful soul find eternal rest. You will be deeply missed.

May God grant you a peaceful journey to the great beyond, and may your family find comfort in the memories of your life.

May the family and friends find strength during this difficult time. Adieu, dearest Auntie Meggie.

We will surely miss you, but we are assured that you are resting in God’s bosom.

In loving memory of a remarkable woman who passed on to the Lord

She was a woman of excellence; always decent, neat, and graceful whenever you saw her. Even in her later years, she remained beautiful and radiant, her presence always lighting up the room.

She was friendly, GOD-Fearing, and constantly wore a warm, welcoming smile. She loved sharing the Word of GOD and was a devoted prayer warrior. Her joy was found in fellowship, and she always sought to be among those who uplifted others and brought joy to her heart.

Above all, she lived a fulfilled and purposeful life; one marked by faith, love, and kindness.

She will be sincerely missed by all her loved ones, including me, her name's sake.

May her soul rest in perfect peace and rise in glory.

There are people in our lives who quietly shape us, whose love is steady, whose presence is a gift. My Aunty was one of those rare souls. She wasn’t just a relative — she was a confidante, a second mother, and a source of endless strength and comfort.

Her laughter could light up a room. Her wisdom often came in gentle words or a knowing look, and she always seemed to have the right thing to say — or the best way to say nothing at all and just listen. She had a way of making everyone feel seen, heard, and loved.

She gave generously — not just in material things, but in time, in affection, and in the kind of deep care that makes a lifelong difference. Whether it was a cup of tea, a shoulder to cry on, or a quiet moment of understanding, she always made space for others.

I carry her lessons in my heart — in the way I speak to others, in the values I hold, and in how I try to be present for those I love. Her legacy lives on not just in memories, but in the way she shaped all of us lucky enough to know her.

Though she may no longer walk beside us, she lives in everything she touched — and especially in me.
Who fondly calls me ODD.

A woman with awesome smiles!

A Tribute to My Beloved Aunty – Mrs. Margaret Obiora (Aunty Maggi)

It is still hard to believe.
The news of your passing hit me like a storm – sudden, heavy, and painful. Just a few months ago, you asked Ebere to call me. We spoke at length. You laughed, asked after Daddy (even in his illness), and offered your heartfelt prayers for me. How could I have known it would be our last conversation?

Aunty Maggi, you were more than just an aunt – you were love personified.
Loving. Cheerful. So understanding. So accommodating. You carried everyone with warmth, never judging, always embracing. Your presence lit up every space you walked into. You made everyone feel like they mattered.

You had a way of making people feel heard, seen, and valued – that was your gift. You poured into us so selflessly, never asking for much in return. You were a shoulder, a comfort, a guiding light.

"Death, where is thy sting?"
You may be gone from our sight, but you live on in our hearts – in the lives you've touched, in the prayers you've prayed, in the love you gave so freely. Sleep well, Auntymooo. Heaven has surely gained a beautiful soul.

You will forever be missed.
We love you, and we say goodbye – until we meet again to part no more.

Rest in perfect peace, Aunty Maggi.

With love,

Today, I honor the life of a truly remarkable woman—my aunty.
Her passing leaves a deep emptiness in our hearts, but her memory will forever be a source of strength and love.

She was more than just an aunt—she was a sister, a confidante, a friend to my mother.
Her laughter could light up any room, and her wisdom always pointed in the right direction.

Her hands were always busy helping others, and her heart always open to those in need.

Even though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit lives on—in every kind word we speak, every act of love we give, and every memory we cherish.
We will miss her dearly, but we are grateful for every moment we had with her.

Rest peacefully, dearest Aunty.
Your legacy of love will never be forgotten.
Lots of love

To my loving aunty' .
A heart of gold has stoped beating, you are gone to rest.
It's sad to see you leave us but you are not alone, God has gone to prepare for you a home. Although you are gone, your memories still live on.
You are sadly missed by family and friends but the love we have for you will never end.
God has picked a lovely bunch of roses.
Fare thee well.

A Tribute to My Beloved Auntie – A Second Mother, A Guardian Angel

It’s been over a week now since we lost you, Auntie Meg., and not a day goes by that I don’t think about your impact on my life. You weren’t just my aunt; you were my second mother, my protector, and my greatest cheerleader when life took an unexpected and painful turn.

You didn’t just care for us; you sacrificed for us. You took on a role many wouldn’t, love to keep us going. You were both firm and gentle, teaching us values and strength that we carry with us to this day.

I still remember your voice, your hugs, and the way you called my name. I remember how you encouraged me to keep pushing, to keep believing,

Auntie Meg., you were more than just family. You were my guardian angel on earth, and now you’re my guardian angel in heaven. I know you’re up there with my mom, smiling down on us, watching over me and my brother. I wish I could tell you one more time how

I promise to live a life that honours your legacy. I promise to be as selfless, as kind, and as loving as you were. Rest in peace, Auntie Meg.. You will forever be in my heart. Until we meet again, I’ll keep making you proud.

With all my love,
Your nephew, Ifeanyichukwu
