Peggy Howe we the crann darach, the tree of oak, to the Howe family, and many other families, under whose branches they were sheltered and nourished.

Just two few days ago, at Our Lady of Souls Church in London, Peggy was joined by so many of her family and friends, who had drawn sustenance (physical, spiritual and emotional) from her embrace over so many years.
The parish priest raised the image of Peggy as the tree at the centre of the , Her sons, Martin, Barry and David then painted that image brightly with words for those in attendance. Like the leaves from Peggy’s branches those words fell softly on our ears.

Ar scáth a chéile a mhaireann na daoine - In each other's shelter the people live. So many lived under your shelter Peggy. Slán agus ádh mór

I have known Peggy since I was a little girl and will always treasure the wonderful memories of visiting Queen Park, London each year with my mum and dad. Those times were filled with warmth, laughter and kindness and have stayed with me to this day. Peggy along with Michael made every visit so special. Peggy was truly beautiful inside and out and had a kindness and gentleness about her that you never forget. She raised the most amazing family and was loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed. May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with Michael once again♥️
