On behalf of the Tripp and Crowe family I would like to offer our condolences to Rita’s family, we only heard of her passing this week,
She was a wonderful person and I personally have some very fond memories of her visits to Dun Laoghaire and in turn our visits to Wexford, RIP Rita xxx

She was a beautiful person and I met her many times in O'Brien's with my late mother Mai Sweetman. In latter years we visited her in The Bushels. She was always so welcoming and great company. It's been extremely comforting for Mum and the family to read such beautiful messages left by so many people who truly saw you as a friend, a lady, a caring soul, witty who had an immaculate dress sense. A powerhouse and mentor within the Wexford community through Business and through the Wexford Opera Festival and so much more. Everything you took pride in. You lived a fantastic life, as you said yourself, so many times.
A glint in the eye, a contagious laugh and a presence that will never be forgotten.
As Frank Sinatra once said, " I did it my way." An ethos in life you, you stood by.

My family was blessed that my aunt Rita and her were such great friends. She is now with Rita C, Mairead, and Kitty catching up on all the news. We were indeed fortunate to have enjoyed her company for so many years. We will miss her enormously. May she Rest In the Peace she has so richly deserved.

Rita, You were a proud Wexford woman all of your life with a big heart, a big mind and a huge presence. You were always protective of and central to the Culture of Society and Business in Wexford and always showed great and innovative leadership in those fields and in particular, your long association with the Festival Opera, will ensure that you will always be remembered in Wexford. The National Opera House of Ireland will always have your presence in its soul.
