I wish to offer my condolence to the family of Margaret. I only learned of her passing today. She was a true lady and such a willing participant in all our activities. May she rest in peace.

Sending our heartfelt sympathy and love to daughters Elizabeth and Patricia, and her son Pip (Philip), to all of Margaret's family, and especially her sister Mary who could not be physically present at the funeral services because of Covid-19. Margaret was a very special friend of one of us (Jack) since 1965; our earliest years were spent in Cork, but we did not meet until both of us came separately to Dublin, to pursue our education.
And when Margaret and Jim arrived to live in Edgeworthstown, close where we live now, our friendship deepened, though saddened by Jim's untimely death. Buoyed up by Margaret's great resilience and energy, we shared concerts, meals in each other's homes, and lots of chats -- for Margaret loved people, was intensely caring, and endlessly inspiring.
As written and spoken in that beautiful prayer at today's service in Edgeworthstown, we give thanks to Almighty God "for faithful friends, and for the joy of loving and being loved" -- and that is so true of Margaret, a friend in faith and love. She is in our hearts forever.

Fond memories of Margaret and her enthusiasm and generous welcoming of many Australian cousins to beautiful Ireland and especially to Kilbaha over many years.
