Mary, Joe and Dave - ye have been in my thoughts and prayers over the last few weeks, your mother was like a mother to us all in Firgrove lawn, ar dhéis De go raibh a Anam dílis.

Mary, Joseph & Dave, it is with great sadness to hear of the death of your Mum Marj who was such a fabulous lady. My memories of your Mum and the O'Callaghans are part of my earliest childhood memories. My Mum and Dad certainly had a great times with Don & Marj in Firgrove and following the move to Ballintemple, the personal pharmacy deliveries from Don ensured Don and Oliver had their chats. Her humour-us presence was enormous & gladdened the hearts of all.. She kept us going during Covid times with her humourous What’s Apps, despite having challenges to her own health & well-being. There are very few times in life when you are fortunate enough to meet and befriend a very special person. Marge was one of those. Marge and Don asked our mum Eileen to join their team in the Pharmacy in Ballintemple a number of decades ago, and the friendships were forged. It gave mum a new lease of life, something which our family will forever be grateful for. But not only that, Marge and Don became true and lasting friends to our family. She was a constant presence for the good and not so good times. Her practical, "no nonsense" direct approach was refreshing!
Her love, support, huge sense of fun and abiding friendship to Mum, and subsequently to the entire Mulcahy Family, will be treasured.
Her loss will be huge to those who knew her, but unimaginable to her children, grandchildren and siblings.
Rest well Marge. Enjoy the games in the other realm and be sure to keep them as entertained as you did for those here.
