Maria Clancy (Wootton)

My sincere condolences on Maria's death. I'm in Western Australia but of the Waterhouse family referred to in her excellent (and much appreciated) book on Frank Dubedat. The story had not been told to me (too many generations down) but is memorable. I was so grateful to Maria for all the work she put into that book, as are various members of the family.
I'm sorry we never met and the more so to hear of her death.

We are deeply saddened at the news of Maria’s death. She was a lovely kind caring and intelligent woman. She did enormous work on local ancestry and history. She will greatly missed RIP

Maria gave me so much help and information on tracing my Clancy/Meredith ancestors. She was such a lovely friend and I will miss out phone calls since Covid sadly put an end to our regular get togethers.

It was with great shock and sadness I learn of the untimely death of Maria. We had known each other for many years while we were on the committee of the Mac Clancy Clan Association, to which Maria devoted a lot of her time and knowledge. Maria was a wonderful historian and an accomplished genealogist. She was always willing to help anyone seeking to establish his/her family tree. Socially she was wonderful company and a great conversationalist .Her passing is not only a great loss to her family but to the wider Mac Clancy Family.
I extend my deepest sympathies to Ashley, Anna , John and her extended family on their sad loss.

My deepest sympathy to all Maria's family on her sad passing recently. I knew Maria for many years through genealogy circles and she was one of the first members of the Raheny Heritage Society when it was founded back in 1987. She was a lovely person and I have great memories of good chats over the years any time we met. May she rest in peace. Joan Sharkey

It is with great sadness that we have learned of the passing of my cousin Maria. From myself and our family in Canada we offer deep condolensces to Maria's family.
