My deepest sympathies to the Healy family.

I got to know Maria during our study abroad in Italy and in the years beyond. So many funny memories, I can’t believe she is gone.

Maria had a spark about her, to be in her company was guaranteed fun and laughter, a friend with the kindest heart. Always emitting girl-power energy, a strong woman who inspired the same. Maria was a loyal and loving friend; she always had a way of cheering up a situation up or adding some much needed humour!

It is impossible to convey all that Maria was in a few words but I feel so lucky to have got to know her over these years. I can’t begin to imagine the loss felt by her family. She made no secret of how much she loved her family and I can see why. Beautiful Maria, rest in peace. Xx

I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of my dear school friend Maria. We first bonded through our dads, who worked together in Cow & Gate, and we grew even closer during our years in Loreto. I will always treasure the memories of sitting beside her in Maths class, me often in tears of laughter as Maria’s wit and humour lit up even the dullest lessons.

Maria was beautiful inside and out. Bubbly, full of life, sassy, fun and wonderfully witty, she had a way of lifting the spirits of everyone around her. She spoke with such love and pride for her family, and it was clear how much she adored her brothers and sisters.

Maria is such a great loss. I am thinking of you all and cannot begin to imagine this unfathomable loss. Life can be so cruel and unfair. There are no words right now, but I am thinking of you all during this awful time.
