We, unfortunately, never had the privilege of meeting her, but we felt that we knew her, somewhat, from the many stories that we heard about her from Johann over the years.
It was palpable from these stories how much she was loved and held in respect by her whole family.
May Frau Hoff rest in eternal peace.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Frau Hoff. She was a lovely lady and still a true German by sticking to the family name (when engaging with fellow Germans) for almost 50 years. She and her husband helped us newcomers along on our path of embracing the Irish way of life - I think we all made a success of it! Mr. and Mrs. Hoff turned this beautiful place "Castle Annagh`s" into a gem of a dairy farm, and later they transformed "Talbot Hall" likewise. The Hoffs became our much valued friends!
Harryet, Johann and Eva and attached families, please accept my sympathy during these difficult times. But you all know that you have done your best for your mother, and may you all find comfort in that thought.
Hoffentlich koennt Ihr ein friedliches und auch dankbares Weihnachtsfest feiern.
