Dear Aoife and John, Fideles, Nancy and Olive and all the family.
I have just heard from my brother, Seoirse, of Maria's passing RIP.
I have been trying for months to get Maria on the phone from Australia, as I did regularly, but now I see she must have been in the nursing home. Our lifelong friendship had survived my many moves. Such friendships are rare. Maria was very special to me and now I add her name to my list of near and dear loved ones, praying we will be reunited in God's Heavenly Kingdom.
I willl have Latin Mass offered for Maria here in Australia. Maria took her final journey on a great feast day of her patron, The Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Rest in peace Maria. Your old friend, Treasa.

I remember Maria with great fondness, for welcoming me into her home as a friend of John, and later she became good friends with my late mother. They both loved to go to dances and loved the music.
