Auntie Maria was a pure lady, who always was the most kind, hospitable host to our family, (Mam , Dad and 7 children). We loved going to Carrowkeel and loved the special treats of home made apple tarts, sandwiches and biscuits. Nothing was too much trouble for Maria, she always made us feel at home.... it didn't matter how many arrived, we were always made to feel so welcome.
Maria, may the sun shine warm upon your face, The rains fall soft upon your beloved fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of his hand.
