As Maria’s husband, I would like to leave one final message of heartfelt thanks as this condolence book comes to a close.

I am deeply grateful to everyone who wrote a message, called, emailed, sent a WhatsApp message, shared a memory, or reached out with kindness and support. Your words have meant so much to me.

Thank you to Maria’s family, friends, colleagues, and to all those who knew her and shared part of her life. Through your memories, I have seen even more clearly how deeply she was loved, respected, and admired.

Maria leaves behind a special and lasting legacy, both personally and professionally. She was also a wonderful wife, and her love remains one of the greatest gifts of my life.

Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart, for helping to honour her life and keep her memory alive.

I worked with Maria years ago at Google. Maria was a very experienced leader, very honest and open and great fun to be around.
I have very good memories of having dinner with Maria eating banoffee pie for dessert and long discussions about pretty much anything.
I visited Dublin this week and looked up old friends. I felt really sad and sorry to find this page.

I am so sorry to hear about Maria’s passing. I worked with Maria a number of years ago at Dropbox. While we didn’t work closely together I always remember how helpful she was any time I interacted with her. She always had a friendly word to share and was a wonderful leader to learn from. Her absence is irreplaceable. María was always a woman of great kindness, intelligence, and a truly unique sense of humour. She brought light, warmth, and generosity into the lives of those around her, and the love reflected in your messages shows just how deeply she was valued and loved.

Maria meant a great deal to me, as she did to so many of us at Dropbox. What a gift it was to have the chance to work with someone like her. She was so funny... the kind of humor that snuck up on you, sometimes taking the rest of the room a moment to catch up. She listened deeply and didn’t always need to respond right away, which was a quiet power I deeply admired.

She made me feel seen and valued, which mattered enormously to me. I came into this business from a very different industry and often felt like I stood out in every possible way. Maria helped me find genuine strength in that difference. She encouraged it and helped me find my place without ever asking me to compromise who I am. It was her rare gift to both challenge you and make you feel safe at the same time.

My heart goes out to you, Jose. Though we never met, Maria spoke of you often and with such love, especially when I shared stories of my own creative husband. In that shared space as spouses, Maria and I found an unexpected connection and a friendship I will cherish always.

She noticed the small things; she always commented when I changed my hair, called out kindness, and reminded me not to apologize for showing up fully and doing my job well, even when that made others uncomfortable.

She is unapologetically brilliant.

I wish I could tell her thank you. I miss her deeply.

I had the privilege of working with Maria for over four years. She was always kind, friendly, and encouraging, and she was a great leader and such an important person to so many.

During some of my most important milestones in life, Maria was there as a leader to encourage and cheer me on. She had a special way of making one feel relaxed during our one-to-one conversations and was truly understanding and kind.

I will miss our conversations, and I will especially remember her unique smile and laugh. Maria will be greatly missed.
