I have very fond memories of Maria when we were in the Folk group in Shangan and the fun we had together on our many outings and travels back in the day. Maria was a very special Angel walking on this Earth - my time spent with you growing up as teenagers in Ballymun was great fun, filled with song, dance and innocence.

It's with great sadness that I'm writing this message of condolence - may you rest in peace Maria. You have left a lasting mark on many people and this World, you will never be forgotten. God bless and watch over your family at this sad time.

So sorry for your terrible loss. I was a babysitter for the wonderful Place children when you lived in Shangan. I remember Maria as a beautiful, kind little girl. Maria and Cecilia (RIP) would do a concert for me while I was there and I'm so pleased to read that Maria went on to have a life on the stage and in the community.
