My deepest sympathy to all of Marian’s family and friends. She was a dedicated librarian who made a valuable contribution to the development of the public library service in Longford and Westmeath. She was also a respected local historian and author who proudly promoted the work of three of the Midlands greatest writers Oliver Goldsmith, Padraic Colum and Maria Edgeworth. May Marian now rest in peace.

So sorry to hear of Marians passing. She was so kind to me when i interviewed her about Howard Bury. She generously gave so much of her time to me. May she rest in peace and sincere condolences to her family.

Marian will be greatly missed by Belvedere as her contributions to our estate's history over the years was limitless and all given for no reason other than her own passion and love for it. Marian was a leading authority on the history of our 20th century owners, Charles Howard-Bury and Rex Beaumont, among others. She was essential in helping to preserve our history which we will be eternally grateful for. She was always available at a moment's notice for any questions that we had and was more than happy to have a chat. She thought of Belvedere as a second home, and we are glad to continue the work that she courageously began all those years ago.

It was truly an honour to have known such a remarkable woman. May she rest in peace.

We are blessed to have spent quality time with you, over the years, both here in Australia and when visiting Ireland. You loved showing us historical sites and breathtaking landscapes on our visits and we’ll cherish those memories forever. We know how much you loved visiting us here. You soaked up the climate and were fascinated by the different plants and animals. We’ll always remember introducing you to mangoes- they were your firm favourites!
