I first met Marian over thirty-five years ago when she made all the curtains for our new home. Ever since then, whenever we met it was such a joy to chat with her - we'd nearly be thrown out of the shop with all the laughing!

Her love for her family, her kindness and her genuine interest in others shone brightly. May your light never be dimmed Marian and may you rest in eternal peace.

I am absolutely shocked today to hear of Marian’s death. This is such sad news I am heartbroken for Sean and her family. Marian was always happy, positive and vibrant and so so helpful over the years. And a great artistic talent - she could turn her hand to anything. My sincere condolences to her family.

It was with great sadness that I learned of the sudden passing of Marian, she was such a lovely person and a neighbour of mine in yellowbatter, my condolences to Sean and her family. RIP Marian you will be greatly missed.

We remember her great enthusiasm when she was involved with her husband, Sean, and son Shane, in Boyne Rovers youth teams. So supportive, encouraging and helpful to the boys throughout those years. But, this was so natural for someone who had a spirit of generosity in all walks of life and was devoted to her beloved and heartbroken family.

I knew Marian when we worked together and it was always a pleasure to see her smiling face. Our loss is heaven’s gain. Imagine the craic up there now!

I am sorry for your loss. I remember Marian as a bright spirit. I will never forget her.

Marian took me on for Transition Year Work Experience in Lady Of Lourdes Hospital in 2023, she was a lovely woman to work with and even better to chat with. I would see her often whenever I was in the hospital visiting or as a patient, I only wish i stopped to speak to her more now.

We still recount the great night we had with Marian & Kelly in the Purty Kitchen some years back. Her storytelling, timing and comedic genius had us in stitches for the whole night and we will remember her fondly. We know Marian touched many lives and will be greatly missed. Shocked to see Marian's death notice. Last visit to OLOL I met Marion. I said Xray to her & she took my wrist & said 'I knew you were coming today so last night I put stickers on the floor so you you wouldn't get lost!! I had a smile on my face the whole way to xray. Rest in Peace Marian.

She was a fantastic neighbour and became a great friend to us. She was so vibrant, cheery, funny & wise but equally she was incredibly kind & caring and constantly thinking of others, from the many thoughtful gifts to always helping and being there at the drop of a hat. She was such a devoted Mam and so proud of her children and grandchildren. After a visit I would always see her standing at the door waving goodbye until the car would turn out of sight at the bottom of the street. Marian you will be missed so much, you brought so much colour to our lives.
