I was very sorry to hear this sad news. I met Marion when she was my tutor at Limerick School of Art & Design many years ago. She was always so kind and patient. I will always remember her fondly. Sincerest sympathy to all her family. May she rest in peace.

For all of you who loved Marian I am deeply sorry for your loss. I was in her class in Trinity & she was like a balm of calm to be around, she exuded serenity. She had a brilliant business idea to launch a range of eco friendly underwear for guys where motivational slogans would replace the branding like Calvin Klein on the must see part of the attire with low slung jeans! I believe her inspiration came from you Snane & how you & your pals wore your jeans!!
We were unlucky as a class, Covid arrived the week we finished & we didn’t get a chance to develop the friendships we made in those previous 6 months, but it was a joyous time for all of us

We were friends since forever and what a friend you were, strong, sincere, funny, inquisitive, delightful to be with and interested in everyone and everything around you!! I'm so happy we were able to reconnect in recent years and have wonderful memories of great conversations, outings and escapades with the girls here in Kerry and beyond. Rest easy beautiful lady.

We remember happy times from the early 80s - studying at UCD (Michael), and the late 80s and early 90s sharing an office in Limerick School of Art and Design, sharing lodgings with Marian in David Caron's house in St. Mary's Place in Limerick - and occasionally sharing a car with Marian when she was learning to drive in Limerick! We enjoyed special meetups in more recent years and had looked forward to more ... With love to you all at this saddest of times.

Many moons ago I knew Marian very well. She was one of a kind, with a marvellous sense of humour, and a spirit of generosity. With her, life was richer. She will have left many precious memories to those closest to her--her family, her brother and sisters, her many friends. Those who feel her loss most intensely will have most precious memories to fill the silence that her passing has left in their hearts. I wish them all the courage to bear their sad loss.

Marian touched the lives of so many people , she lived her life to the full, returning to Trinity in recent years , her interest in poetry and the Arts .
She was a fantastic mother to Martha and Malachi and encouraged them to follow their dreams .
She was so amazing during covid and after helping our sick friend Carmel.
During her illness Marian never gave up staying positive , and entertaining , always asking and caring after others It was an honour to have been in her company over the last few months while she batlled on, sadly she has left us far too early and will be deeply missed .
She will always be in my thoughts as a true warrior woman xxx

I have known Marian a relatively short time, in the context of Moyra Donaldson's poetry workshops, but in this brief period I came to appreciate her talent as a poet, her kindness and commitment to others, and her special warmth.
