Marian TOOLAN

Dearest Siobhán, Gráinne and Shane! I extend my deepest condolences to you and your families on the death of your beautiful mother Marian. I missed her funeral because we were away with family during that week.

Marian was a most gracious person of the kindest disposition. She was in the first class of students to whom I was introduced. Her radiant countenance with her welcoming smile was something I’ll never forget, and she sitting on the outside left in the front row of three-to-a-seat. I well remember the shiny chestnut plaits and the magnificent deep canary yellow Aran cardigan that some loving person knit for her for starting at second level. She never changed. That was Marian: full of kindness and grace.
