Ek will net Dankie sê dat sy in my lewe kon wees. Sy sal altyd n plek in my hart hê.
Ek het tannie gesien as my ouma in Ierland. Ek is elke dag dankbaar dat tannie my narder aan God gebring het en al die raad wat tannie vir my gegee het. Ek is baie lief vir tannie. Tannie was ń ongelooflike persoon. My hart is stukkend dat tannie nie meer hier by ons is nie. Ek wens tannie was nog hier en kon my pad na die here toe saam my stap. Ek was nie reg om te laat gaan nie ek was nie reg om baai te sê nie. Ek gaan tannie ver ewig in my hart hou. Ek gaan ver ewig my pienk roosie by my hou. Ek hou tannie nog steeds in my gebedjies.
Sincere condolences and sympathy to Mariannes family in South Africa and to her Christian community in Clonarf and beyond. Marianne was a faithful committee member for over 6 yrs. She had the heart of a missionary full of love and compassion and zeal for the Lord. She was gifted in so many ways and we miss her contribution to our work. She was a humble woman who put Jesus first in her life and drew others to him by her smile and the witness of her life. May she rest in the peace and love of the Lord. Amen.
It was with great sadness that I heard of the death of Marianne who I knew through working with her on the Irish Committee of World Day Of Prayer. Blessings to all her family in South Africa and her many friends especially in Clontarf, Ireland. We will all miss her and her friendship which meant so much to us all.
Cannot believe a month has passed without you in our lives. I Miss you very much, waiting for call from you. RIP
My sincere condolences to all Marianne’s family and friends in South Africa and in Ireland. We will miss her gentle and helpful support. Solas na bhFlaitheas dí.
Praying for Marianne’s family and may you find comfort and peace at this difficult time! Marianne was very much lovely and we miss her terribly…
It’s so hard to let Marianne go … to rest in our Heavenly Father… One day we will meet again in the presence of our glorious daddy God!

How precious is your unfailing love, O God!
All humanity finds shelter
in the shadow of your wings.
You feed them from the abundance of your own house,
letting them drink from your river of delights.
For you are the fountain of life,
the light by which we see.
Psalm 36:7-9

Marianne and I spoke and prayed over the phone almost every week and she always had Christ at the center of our chats and prayers. A few weeks before she passed away, she sent me an email with a quote saying:

“I don’t care how hard life gets, I am not losing my faith in God”

We love you very much and always treasure you in our hearts and wonderful memories of our time together ❤️
So grateful to have known you Marianne. Your kindness, grace, wisdom and sense of humour will be missed.
With fondness we remember Marianne. Our visits, suppers, our laughter and chats about God's word.
South Africa and Ireland lost a great ambassador for Jesus Christ with her passing.
We will long remember you Marianne. Rest now.
Absolutely gutted to hear this!! I haven’t been in touch for over 10 years now, but I still have amazing memories of my time with you in Dublin. At least you’re with your saviour now xo
Dear Marianne, everyone you have known will miss you. You were such a light in the Children's Ministry and the wider congregation. You always had time to chat and your practical and faithful nature were so refreshing. A big hug for you.
My liewe vriendin, I will never forget our wonderful ministry times with ttt4c and Jewels of Hope. The laughs, the road trips, the training sessions and the many deep conversations together. You are deeply loved and will be forever missed ❤️
I’ve just learned of Marianne’s passing. This is so sad. I haven’t seen her in many years but she was hugely influential in my young adulthood, just such a wise, loving, kind person. You will be missed and I’m so glad to have known you. Rest now, in glory xx
There are no words to express the loss we all feel, the sympathy we have for those closest to her. And yet so thankful to have known her, to have been hugged, physically and spiritually by her big generous heart and servant nature.
She fought a long and hard battle with illness and now gains the ultimate reward, one that she was so sure of… with no more tears, no more pain, no suffering… forever with the Lord.
My thoughts and prayers are with her family, and particularly with Lorraine, Samuel and Daniel.
Liewe Tannie Marianne,

Last touch!!

Xxxx
Marianne was such an important person in the congregation, where she is missed greatly, and she was a friend to us as well. I remember her coming to our house one time, when we enjoyed coffee and cake and spoke about traditions and different foods in South Africa and the Netherlands. It is these small moments that can be so precious. She always had a smile and a listening ear. I am grateful to have known Marianne.
Never forget you Marianne. You ran your race with courage and commitment to Jesus.
Marianne, your passing leave an empty space in our family. You were not blood family but you were our adopted grandma. I firmly believe you were sent to us by our Father. Thanks for giving your life to Him and letting Him guide you and enrich your life.

Kom groei op my soos mos
Daar laat ek hul na hartelus gedy
En loop ek deur die wêreld
- beskut teen die koue -
Die snoesigheid self:
Ek met my moskombersie.

Maar as iemand wat op my gegroei het
Weg moet gaan
Dan sit daar ‘n seerplek
Dan sluip ek deur die wêreld
Die kwesbaarheid self:
Ek met my seerplek
Wat net nie wil genees nie. "

Thank you for allowing me to walk the road with you this last year and especially this last month. I hope I was able to repay a small bit of the value you had in our lives. Love you and will miss you dearly.
Sad to hear the passing to glory of Marianne. May her soul rest in peace.
Marianne will be dearly missed. She showed me incredible kindness and friendship during a very lonely time and I'm very grateful for the things that I could learn from her. My heart goes out to all of her friends and family that are mourning this great loss.
How do I express the loss we all feel especially her family and those of us who had the immense privilege of sharing life’s journey with Marianne. Marianne whose accent took me years to understand 🙈 But whose heart took me only minutes. Marianne was the most human of people not too proud to admit she had feet of clay like the rest of us and yet deeply spiritual. Inspirational in her quest to be authentic in her desire to follow Jesus and entirely practical in applying that faith. I shall remember with thankfulness the fun and laughter we had on those trips to South Africa and our catch up meals together since her coming to Ireland and the courageous way she embraced her final journey. Till we meet again my friend rest.
A lovely lady who was always very supportive and will be greatly missed by all, thinking of Marianne's family in Ireland & South Africa.
A good heart has stopped beating, but a heart that touched so many lives, can't help but live on those it loved. Someone so special cannot be forgotten. Marianne you are a special sister, and will be missed.
Marianne "Sussie," our dearest Friend .

Thank you for love, your input in our lives, our many wonderful years together. You touched thousands of lives - that "puzzle" now coming together. Forever grateful.

My deepest sympathies to Marianne’s family and friends especially the Howth Road NS community. It was a pleasure to work alongside her welcoming smile and wit.
To Marianne’s family, friends and the whole Clontarf & Scots family, we are devastated to hear of Marianne’s passing. She really epitomised what it is to be a friend, a Christian, a member of our community and a loving and generous soul. Our lasting memory will always be a spectacular sunset during a winter shore walk in Co Louth, where she came to visit our family shortly after moving away from the congregation in Dublin.
So sorry to hear of Marianne's passing, she was a wonderful, positive soul 💕
So sorry to hear of Marianne's passing - she leaves a huge void in all our lives, a wonderful person and faithful friend. It is comforting to know she is now with the Lord. My thoughts and prayers are with the manse family and also Marianne's family in South Africa.

Psalm 34:18. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
Fond memories of Marianne, her kindness, generosity, and faith. She will be missed by all who loved her.
Face to face now Marianne, fully knowing as you were always fully known. (1 Cor 13) What a privilege to have known you, with your measured wisdom, your wry sense of humour, and your desire to always shine for Him which you did so wonderfully well. Condolence thoughts and prayers for your family and many friends, yet who can but be glad that you're home safe now, where you'll know no more tears, and no more pain or suffering.

Marianne filled our lives with so much joy, much words of wisdom and encouragement! We will always remember the blessed times we shared together.
Your fight has been courageous! You are not a victim of your circumstances but a vessel! You never asked why is this happening to me (victim) instead you asked why is this happening for me (victor) and how can this happen through me (vessel)! Thank you for sharing your bravery and love with me! you will be missed dearly!
