My sincere condolences to all Maries family.
Marie was a wonderful person who adored her family.

I got to know Marie, when I started work at the Council office in West Hampstead. On my first week, I asked her to lunch- the 1st of many. I could see a sparkle in her eye and decided, I wanted to get to know this lady. I quickly grew to love and admire Marie. Marie was so positive, so bright and always willing to laugh.
We continued our lunches after she retired and even after I returned to Ireland (when I would visit London).

Marie came and stayed with me for a few days in co. Mayo. Despite her memory fading, we had a wonderful time, wandering around the grounds of Ashford castle and having numerous coffee stops. She took a great liking to my 2 dogs. The last time that we met in London, she asked me If the 2 boys( my dogs) were still able to swim across the lake.

I am so glad that I got to know Marie. I shall miss her, but I will always remember her as some one who made me smile. Anne

Dear Auntie Marie,

Thank you for all the memories of you, from seeing you every Sunday when I was young, playing on the noisy swing in your garden, your house always smelling of roast beef, you and mum gossiping, your encouragement to do well, to all the important events in my life - holy communion, my wedding day, and you came all the way to the hospital on the bus and train when we lost Chloe and I was so appreciative and love that you did that.

Certain things will always remind me of you such as Waitrose and John Lewis, roast beef and cutting the meat with an electric bread knife, your amazing trifle that I used to love, your singing in the kitchen and just your voice and the amazing auntie you were.

We miss you.

Sleep peacefully,

Lots and lots of Love Andrea, Gavin, Louie and Finley xxxxx
I treasure fond memories of times spent with Marie and her family, in London, Dublin and in Italy too! I remember Marie’s 60th surprise birthday party!
She would always made me feel at home. Her laugh was so sincere and contagious.
My deepest condolences to Jonathan, Matthew & Jasmine and their children and to Carol and all of Marie’s large family.
Marie was the best mother in law anyone could ask for. Extremely helpful and caring and the most easy going person I’ve ever met. We did a lot together and had many laughs, she was like a mum to me. I will miss her so much. RIP Marie.

Heartfelt memories of a sister who was loved by everyone .When I went over to Marie to stay with her for a few days we would go to the park and sit on a bench .She would ask me about the family ,her face would light up and she would give me a big smile and five minutes later she would ask me the same question .Marie would be delighted that everybody is here

My Dear Auntie Marie, your Strength and resilience Has inspired me. I will always remember every other Sunday going to your house as a child for a roast beef (had to be beef) dinner, and saying afterwards how your veggies weren’t cooked properly lol 😂. You always put others first, and your love of John Lewis.

All my love always, go be with Uncle John now. Love your Niece Karen 🌹😇💔💔💔
