I am lost for words to hear of Maries passing away. I worked with her for more than 12 years in the Library in Ennis before moving on to work in the Union. Marie was a quiet, calm, funny presence with a wry sense of humour that not everyone saw.

I was shocked and saddened to hear about the passing of Marie. I was fortunate enough to work with Marie in the old De Valera library for a number of years. She was an extremely hard-working person who was calm and kindhearted. She always make a special effort whenever I brought my little ladies in for a visit and her presence will be sorely missed.
