Sincere sympathy to Marie-Claire's family on their loss. Marie-Claire was a year or two ahead of me in primary school and though it is very many years since our paths crossed I have vivid and very positive memories of Marie-Claire. She had a lovely disposition and that combined with a natural elegance gave her great presence. The first week I came to Dublin when I was 17 I ventured out to visit a friend from Swinford on Sunday. Time passed by chatting and on my way home I got totally lost. Darkness fell and I was very nervous and too fearful to ask anyone of the few people around for directions. A kind man approached and offered to help. He asked me where I was from and on hearing it was Swinford said that one of the nicest people he knew was from Swinford and her name was Mary-Claire McNulty. How right he was! May she rest in peace. Her life was too, too short but the very positive impressions she left behind will not be forgotten.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Was only recently reminiscing of your past visits down to Louth with Jack to visit nanny and asked Mam & Dad how you are. Hence learned of the sad passing of your daughter. I hope you and your family are coping in this difficult time. Take care.x
