Deeply saddened to hear of the tragic loss of Marie, a fantastic and fun-loving person.
She was a joy to spend time with, even if only for the few minutes while collecting the girls from Loreto.
She is so very missed.

I remember Marie so well from over twenty years ago when I taught Gary in junior and senior infants. Such a warm, friendly, funny and entertaining lady. My sincere condolences to all the family. My she rest in peace.

I was sad to hear of Marie passing . I have very fond memories growing up in town near Marie and will always remember her working in KC bakery . And then she became a neighbour of mine in Whitethorn . She had such a big heart and would put a smile on face of anyone who knew her. My condolences to both of her families she will sadly missed.

I remember starting work in Woolworth as a 15 yr old and Maire was one of my supervisers..... my oh my what she taught me..... some years later (in fact a lot) and I met Marie through mutual friends while holidaying along with my daughter who was at a really awkward age... and Marie was as always as friendly and funny as usual and just made us so welcoming and at ease....Thank you Marie as always so friendly and welcoming. Thanks so much for including people whatever their circumstances.... you were an amazing person ... my deepest condolences to all her family .... Brenda

Heartbroken when we heard the tragic news of Marie's untimely passing. From the first day we met Marie in Loreto with Michelle she radiated happiness and pure goodness. Thank you Marie for all the wonderful nights when we laughed and cried to all your wonderful stories. Your love for Liam, Jenny, Gary and Michelle was unrivalled and the beautiful eulogy from Gary and Liam was a tribute to the wonderful family you nurtured.
I will really miss you Marie and your daily 'Hiya Hun' whenever we met. I know Liam, Jenny, Gary and Michelle you have a special angel in Heaven and remember 'To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die' . Sleep well my lovely friend and rest in peace.

I had the pleasure of meeting Marie only a few times but she made a lasting impression. She exuded such positivity and a sense of mischievous good humor with no self pity, even though it was obvious at the time that she was quite ill. Marie’s passing will leave a gaping hole in so many lives and most especially in the lives of her husband, children, mother and siblings. However, I’ve no doubt that you all have many happy and funny memories that will help ease the pain in times ahead.
