There is a big void now on the west wing in Templerainey church, where I last met her only a few months ago at dad’s anniversary mass. May she be reunited with Roy and rest in peace.

Sincerest sympathy to my life long friend Garrett, his sisters Tona, Jossa, Avril & Therese and brothers Brian & Roy Junior on the passing of their most precious Mam, Marie who is now reunited forever with her dear husband Roy Senior. I have some lovely & treasured memories of the Dempsey household back in my youth where I spent many happy hours playing around the garage, garden & old timber sawmill with Garrett. Was always welcomed with kindness & friendship by Marie & Roy Senior & their beloved Jean as well as their faithful Laddie. Their trip over to Carraroe in Connemara in Mr Dempsey's famous red volvo estate to visit Garrett & myself in the Gaeltacht will always stick in my mind where we got to visit Leisureland in Salthill. In recent times, whenever I met Marie she would always end our conversation by saying: "you know where I live, so call over to see me" so I guess now my only way to repay her constant warm & welcoming nature will be to visit her final resting place from time to time to say a little prayer to her. Till we meet again Mrs Dempsey. Sleep well.
