Sincere condolence to the Penston/Graham families. We had such fond memories of Marie our cousin when she would drive us down to Wexford on our holidays, when we were children and buy us ice cream, which was a real treat back then.

She was an absolute Lady.

Fergus, I was very late in hearing that you'd lost Marie. My warmest thoughts go out to you and your family.

I was a colleague of Marie’s in RTE for many years. I am very sorry to hear of her passing. She was a lovely person and we had great fun together. Heartfelt sympathy to fergus and family

Dear Fergus.

It was with much sadness I joined the online service for Marie to an awareness of her interesting life and great courage during a most difficult illness. I should not have been surprised. She is after all a Penston.

The last time I met Marie was in Abbey Road in 1995. She sang with her sister Anne and like her parents and all my Penston cousins had an natural generosity. We always felt welcome. I truly cannot remember the time when we parted but I do hope I gave her a hug goodbye.

Fergus, you and her very fine children, her loving siblings and precious grandchildren gave her a lifetime of happiness and every support in her hour of need. You have many wonderful memories. My thoughts are with you all.

Sincere condolences to Fergus and all of Marie's family on the her death. She was a lovely lady. I have great memories of Marie driving my sisters and myself to Wexford for our holidays and her dad Lord rest him brought my Mum and Dad in his car. We always arrived first to Wexford and Marie would bring us to a cafe for ice-cream while we waited for Uncle Mike and my parents to come.( which was a huge treat for us as children and made us feel so special) May she rest in peace.
