Sincere sympathy to Gabrielle, Francis and Diarmuid on the passing of your beloved mum. Some years ago your mum was the chairperson of what we used to call the Pound Committee. I approached your mum to see would the committee transfer that piece of ground to the handball club. She agreed, after some persuasion, to recommend the transfer on the condition that it would never be used for commercial use. That piece of ground now leads from the Handball Centre to the childrens' playground and has been so important to the development of the Handball Centre and the childrens' playground. Well done Marie. A true lady. Also great memories of some great nights at Gabrielle's birthdays.
