We were deeply saddened to hear of Marie’s passing. We had the pleasure of getting to know her through our time at the bowls club, and I always looked forward to our chats and phone calls right up until her last few days— they were warm, genuine, and full of good humour.

Marie had a kindness and presence that made everyone feel welcome, and I’ll truly miss those moments that we shared, both on and off the green. It was a privilege to know her and call her a dear friend.
