Despite distance keeping us from spending more time together, I've always felt close to my Irish family. I remember our visits with Aunty Marie and Uncle Brian as a child - such happy memories. Aunty Marie will be deeply missed.

Marie was the most positive and kind lady. She always had a smile and happiness in her voice when you arrived at her door. She never had a bad word to say about anybody.

My school days were shared with Marie who always stood up for me when I had difficulties with the nun, she had a great sense of fairness, justice and compassion. We enjoyed our first holiday abroad in Rome in 1972 with Marie & Brian with fond & funny memories.

Just heard the very sad news of Marie’s unexpected passing. Oh Brian, I am so, so sorry for your loss, I know how much Marie meant to you, Emma, Adam, Leigh and their families. She was such a beautiful lady and truly had a heart of gold, her family was her pride and joy and her life.
