We got to know Marie on her ‘coffee stop’ at Michael Dore’s in the Castle Park. There alongside a few other decent (if less athletic) pensioners she gave as good as she got in chats and arguments. Rest peacefully now, Marie.

Very sad to hear of Marie’s passing. She was so lovely and full of fun. We met up with Marie last April and spent a great afternoon reminiscing. Marie brought me on my first visit to Zhivago’s night club in the 70’s. We will miss our visits to Kilkenny. Rest in peace Marie
