Sorry to hear of the passing of Marie . Condolences to Declan and Philip and all the McCormick family. I first met Marie over 50 years ago when we worked in Liptons of Grafton St. We then met up again when we both moved to Lindisfarne. Marie was an amazing woman caring and strong and will be missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace .

You have left us all heartbroken beyond words. Marie you weren’t just my aunt, you were a steady, gentle presence in my life. If I ever needed you, all I had to do was call or text and no matter what was going on in your own life, you were always there. That’s what hurts the most, the silence now, where once there was your voice, your laugh, your advice. You were someone who would push your own pain aside if anyone needed you. That’s just who you were — a kind soul, who never held a grudge, never turned anyone away, always made time. I take comfort in the fact you are finally reunited with Johner and Stephen. You never did get to write that book though! Look over everyone Marie but most of all, rest in peace. Love you always xxx
