From our time at St Louis, Balla to our years in the GMIT in Galway and our early working lives in Dublin - Marie was such a joy, lively, full of life and fun and always a lady. I am truly shocked and heartbroken to hear of Marie’s sudden passing on 21st February.
My deepest sympathies to you all at this very sad time.
Marie was my dear neighbour and childhood friend in Thomastown, Clogher. Growing up as families together, we shared so many happy days—playing endlessly as kids, running wild in the fields, and especially those six years walking to and from Clogher school every single day, side by side through rain and shine.
Those simple, joyful times we all shared with her laughter and kindness are memories I will always treasure. She was part of my childhood in the truest way, and it hurts to think she’s gone.
