To Grace, Joan and all the O'Neill family sending you all our deepest sympathy and condolences on the passing of our beloved and wonderful cousin Marie. We had such great times in no. '187,' all the parties, all the stories and all the laughs. Condolences also from Breifne, Liadan, Julian and Stephen. Marie was a fount of information about our family history. Also her generosity to us, in both good and bad times, will not be forgotten. She was a 'true Dub' and a proud citizen of 'Drumcondra.' A great reader, she gave me my first copy of James Joyce's 'Dubliners', a book which I will always treasure and make use of creatively, time and again. Marie, dear cousin, may you rest in peace along with Annie, Kathleen, Donny and Frank.
'Raised on songs and stories, heroes of renown,
The passing tales and glories, that once was Dublin town,
The hallowed halls and houses, the haunting children's rhymes,
That once was Dublin city, in the Rare Oul Times.
Ring a ring a rosie as the lights declines,
I remember Dublin city in the rare oul times.'

So sorry to hear of your sudden death Marie. May you rest in peace. Who would have thought that a chance meeting at 10 Mass in our Lady of Dolores on a Sunday morning would have resulted in an over 20 year friendship, during which time you gave me lots of advise and we chatted about your extended family and discussed the current affairs in which you were well read.. I will miss all that now.
Thanks Marie
