To the Family of Marie Porter,
I was deeply saddened to hear of Marie’s passing, and I want to extend my heartfelt sympathies to you all during this incredibly difficult time.
I had the absolute pleasure of getting to know Marie when working in Manor West Leisure Club, where she regularly attended classes. Marie quickly became a shining light in our community; always appearing with such joy, grace, and spirit. She was a truly fabulous lady, and her presence brought warmth and energy to every where.
What I will remember most is Marie's kindness and generosity. Most recently l, when attending a Zumba Class in the BallyMacelligott, she would hand me a little packet of Maltesers with a smile, a small gesture that meant so much. It wasn’t just thoughtful, it was so very Marie: always thinking of others, always spreading kindness in her own quiet, beautiful way.
She often spoke of her children, Louise and Eoin, with such pride and love. It was clear how deeply she cherished you both, and how proud she was of the people you’ve become. Please know that her love and light touched more lives than you can imagine, and her memory will continue to live on in all of us who were lucky enough to know her.

I am deeply saddened by the recent loss of Marie. Marie was the person who’s picked me up from hospital when I was born, I spent many days and nights with Marie and her family and always felt like the additional child. She was warm, friendly and kind and incredibly classy. I loved her style and ability to engage. I always recall Marie as my second mother. Thank you Marie for your loving care and kindness. We will miss you.
