My deepest sympathy to you Anthony John Bretha,Pauline and Barbara and all the Condon family. . I'm so sorry I can't be there to celebrate Marie's life. I have very fond memories of both Marie and Frank - May they both rest in peace together.
We would like to express our sincere feeling of both sadness and love for Anthony and the rest of the Condon family on the passing of Marie.
When Marie, Frank and Anthony visited Wexford all of our lives were suddenly brighter. My parents Mary (Condon) and Paddy just loved their songs and sense of fun which entertained family and friends alike. Their imitation of Paddy Crosby’s ‘School around the corner’ was a particular favorite when Frank played the schoolboy role by rolling up the legs of his trousers and his Dublin accent was just perfect! My mother Mary with a passion just loved Marie who selflessly organised both herself and the whole house when she visited!
When myself and Kathleen married we frequently visited Kinvara Road and have wonderful memories of weekend sing-songs at the ‘Strawberry Beds’ pub in Lucan where Frank’s rendition of, ‘Dublin can be Heaven’, was always the highlight for us. Sunday mass, a quick drive to ‘Myos’ by 12:30 so that ‘Myo’ did not get too mad and then back to Kinvara Road for the Sunday roast!
As an immigrant, times like these are magnified and intensely felt when we are unable to pay our respects at family funerals and so we are thinking of the Condon family at this very sad time and in particular we are thinking of Anthony and we trust that everyone can celebrate Marie’s life over the coming days when we will be thinking of you all.
