I was so deeply sad to hear about the news of Marie passing away, I'm so sorry Ed, Laura and of course my old friend - Colin. I have so many fond memories of being down at the house when I was younger, both myself and Colin having a great time between watching Colin on the DJ decks, watching movies, playing sing star and much more. Marie was my first proper child minder when I moved to cork many years ago and I guess I owe it to Marie for me meeting Colin in the first place, that I'll always be grateful for. Marie always had such patience and a spare plate of dinner whenever I was around, which was a lot at the time. Even when I was invited on a family holiday, Marie always made me feel welcomed and part of the family. Sending all of you my deepest condolences at this time and to Marie, I wish you all the peace in the world because you absolutely deserve it. Rest in peace. Lots of love, Ciarán.

Marie was a kind and loving woman who will be dearly missed. Showing photos of her granddaughter proud as punch whenever the idea of school felt a bit daunting because she knew our daughter couldnt resist smiling at them. Singing songs and making the kids giggle from that very first day of school. We will remember her for those times when she wiped away tears and made those tough mornings that bit easier with her kindness and support. Deepest condolences to all the family on the loss of Marie. She used to look after our son, Fionn, on the school bus to St Paul's. It was a comfort to us to know that our son was being looked after by Marie, as she was so kind and caring to the children and to us.
