I knew Marie since I was a boy being a friend of her son Brian. When I moved away from Arklow, I still kept in touch with Marie on occasions. I was so saddened by her sudden passing as I took her to be a constant presence on South Quay. The words Good Samaritan come to mind for dear Marie. A selfless good soul whom I got to know quite well through her life journey. No pretensions, complete candour with Love shining through. That was Marie with her strong Christian faith. RIP to her, no doubt she is in heaven where she awaits her family in time.
