I wish to extend my sincere Condolences to Marion's extended family, whom she loved dearly. This is such a terrible sad and lonely time for you all, especially her family in Australia, who Marion always loved to visit. Marion was the bright light that lit up every gathering. She gave her time and good humour freely to us all. She was always very considerate and made sure everyone was included. I will miss our Golf together, and our fun filled coffee mornings.

I wish to offer my sincere condolences to all the Burns family on the passing of Marion.

I had met her shortly before she headed to Australia to catch up with her many relatives over there. We were celebrating a friend's birthday with a toast wishing each other good health, over a glass of bubbly. It is now the parting glass we happened to share that day and we are all grateful for being part of it. Marion was so excited about heading off shortly to sunny pastures.

She was pure joy to know and be around. She was full of fun and laughter all the time. It was great knowing her through our membership at the Ring of Kerry Golf Club. Kenmare will be all the sadder without such an infectious person.

I hope you have many happy memories to keep you going through this very difficult grieving time.

May the choirs of angels come to greet her and lead her to paradise. May she rest in peace.

Dear Family, friends and colleagues of Marion,

We are deeply saddened that Marion has passed away while on her winter holiday.
She was always a beam of light, infectious positivity and great company while at work or leisure.
Having got to know Marion when she came to work with us she endeared herself to all who knew her and those she touch off only for a short while as they visited the store saw something in her that brightened their experience.

A bright light has moved from our lives. We are truly shocked that she won’t walk back in to our world.

This one is difficult. Marion Burns - always the aunt you looked forward to seeing. She was full of life and the best personality - nothing got to her and was a positive person. She was an inspiration to me in so many ways. She was a free spirit and lived her life her way and I drew inspiration from that. She was a kind soul who had the time of day for anyone.

Marion was the film star of the Burns Family. Our fondest memories of her was her arriving at our house Christmas evening in her tight black leather pants and leopard print attire. She was always the life and soul of the party. As her Godchild I remember weekends spent in her old London flat full of laughter and never wanting to go home. Her fullness for life and the way she lit up a room will always be remembered.

Our hearts are broken. We cherish the fun times and laughter we shared with Marion. We are so lucky to have spent time with her recently in Melbourne.
