Oh Ann, Peter and Archie.I am so deeply sad that your lovely mum's very special light has dimmed. Vivid, warm memories have come flooding back from happier times in her company in Dublin and New York. Thinking about you all as you learn to live without her energy, wit, kindness and love.

Dear Ann and family, I’m sorry to hear of your loss. Marion lit up a room when she entered. Her presence was one I loved to be around as far back into my childhood that I can remember, I will always think of her fondly. Sending love and hugs all the way from Florida . I love you Ann.

I was truly sorry to hear of Marion’s passing. She was an inspiration, a fantastic personality and a force to be reckoned with. She impressed me so much every time I spoke with her. My sincere condolences to all her family, she will be badly missed.

Unable to attend the funeral yesterday, I celebrated your Mum's wonderful full life and friendship in a style I think she would have approved; At 1pm precisely, I sat down on the sun lounger in the garden in Wexford, pumped up the volume and played the Piano Concerto No 21 in C Major (the theme from Elvira Madigan), which Marion introduced to me many years ago as one of her all time top gems. I then planted a sunflower, also known as the 'happy flower' in her memory. How apt. I will miss Marion's company so very much.

All my love to you Ann, Archie and Peter and your extended loved ones. You'll all be in my thoughts and prayers.

Marion was a wonderful neighbour and great friend to my parents and in turn my sister and her family. There was always a warm welcome into her home and Marion greeted you with the biggest smile that always felt personal to you! Her humour was amazing, always managing to make you laugh. Marion's passing will be deeply felt by all who were lucky to have known her.

Dear Ann, sorry to hear the sad news…I was thinking that it must be over 40 years ago since my ‘girls’ ran riot in your front room during a Christmas drinks party.
