Marjorie Deegan

Sincere sympathy to Marjorie’s family and friends. All who worked closely with her in the Department of Health respected her great contribution to the quality of nursing and midwifery practice in Ireland and particularly her determined role in the transition to university based education and training. We also have fond memories of her human warmth, her genuine interest in others problems and her kindness in helping where she could. May she rest in peace.

Miss Deegan was a great tutor.i learned so much from her as a young student nurse in Svh.
At oure reunions,her name has often been mentioned in a positive way.

Marjorie or Miss Deegan, as we knew her was the first person who greeted us as we arrived in SVH nursing school all those years ago. I think we all have very fond memories of her , a Lady, a great tutor who gave us a wonderful start in our Nursing career. May she rest in peace. My condolences to all her family.
