I only just see this on LinkedIn and my sincerest condolences to Mark's family and friends. I worked in the old Health Board in Limerick in the 1990s and got to know him then and also into my next career change in the fire service. Mark was a gentleman, always good humoured and thoroughly professional and advanced the whole area of paramedic education in a really innovative way. May he rest in peace.

So very sorry to hear of Mark's recent and sudden passing. Sincere condolences to his family and friends/neighbours. He was a pleasure to deal with and all the staff and students in the early days of the Paramedic Studies programme , were extremely fond of him and admired his passion and drive in making the programme - the huge success it now is.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Mark’s passing and pass on my deepest condolences to his family and friends.
I first met Mark during his involvement with Fleming Medical and always found him to be thoughtful, highly intelligent and someone of the utmost integrity.
Mark leaves a strong legacy in the field of pre-hospital emergency care and he will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Mark made an enormous contribution to prehospital care in Ireland - his focus was always about looking after sick people better, closely followed by looking after the people delivering the care better.

I shared offices, cars, planes, trains, and helicopters with Mark over the years, he was always good humoured, kind, and fun to be with. He had a wry sense of humour and a glint in his eye, it was never boring and always entertaining!

It was a privilege to know him, and we are all the lesser for his passing.
