There are no words I can say that could ease your sorrow.
I was school secretary in Abacas 2007/08 and remember greeting Evan and Mark every morning - always smiling - could brighten the dullest day. Little did I know I would go on to meet Lou when we joined Local Vocals choir. Lou & I became great friends over the last couple of years. She was so proud of you Cian and so happy for you & Shauna. Her family was so important to her.
The love she & Mark had for you shines through you - you clearly have their will and strength and this will guide you through the difficult days ahead.
I will treasure the memories we made forever. I will miss my buddy in the front row but she will be leading a choir in Heaven now and will no doubt have Aha and Queen on the playlist.

Cian spoke so beautifully at your funeral mass and I’m sure you are so proud. It’s no surprise that he has such compassion and empathy being a son of yours Mark & Louise. Evan had captured people’s hearts and he will be so missed at his hub. May Robert be given the help and support that he needs, may Cian and Shauna be supported and held by their family and friends. Condolences to the O' Connor and Doherty families. Its difficult to come up with words to do this family justice. I had the pleasure of training with and racing against Mark on many occasions, we had lots of craic during our runs. The biggest feature of our conversation on family was how he talked with pride about his whole family. Although I didn't meet Louise before, it was obvious by the way Mark talked about his wife how much he cared about her and how generous and caring she was. I meet Evan a number of times at the Parkrun and his happy nature around Mark was contagious and would bring a smile to your face.

Although I only had the pleasure of meeting Mark and Louise briefly, I spent a great deal of time with Cian during my PhD. His kindness, generosity, and optimism are a true reflection of the wonderful people Mark and Louise were as parents. My deepest condolences to all of the family on this heartbreaking loss.

Iam so glad that i got the chance to talk to louise in at the vets a few weeks ago before she passsed away. Evan louise and mark where a great help volunteering walking the dogs for the louth spca when i was there and that is how i got to know them. Thinking of all the family and friends.
