Although you don't know us, our deepest condolences and heart felt prayers go to you Mark, Rachel and family. We empathise so much with you in your sudden deep pain as our 26 year old (Níall) passed away suddenly in 2009. I served with the Defence Forces myself 26 years ago.

Although this great loss of your dear son will never ever leave you, the terrible stress and strain of your enormous grief will one day begin to fade and be replaced by your tremendous pride in him, his achievements and thankfulness for having shared 26 years with him.

Believe me he is looking down on you all and urging you to get to that time and place and begin to laugh and joke and celebrate his short but adventurous life with you. God bless you all.

Absolutely gutted for you all, i didn't know Mark personally but by all accounts he sounds like an absolute gentleman.
