Sincere condolences to Mark's family on the very sad occasion of his passing. We had many good chats over the years as he worked on my horses and he often spoke with great pride of his wife and children. It was a pleasure to have known him and he will always be remembered with affection by our family.

We were so sorry to learn of Mark's passing. We only knew him for a relatively short time but would like to think we became good friends as well as long lost, extended family. It seemed clear when we met up with you for a wonderful Sunday afternoon lunch that he was a son you were very proud of and visa versa.

Our heartfelt condolences to you and the rest of the family. We're so sorry not to be able to be with his family and friends to celebrate his life tomorrow but he and all of you will be in our thoughts as we raise a glass to him from afar.

Dear Virginia, Fiona and Lorea

We were so sad to hear of the passing of Mark so prematurely.

Thankfully, due to the efforts he made to make contact, we were given the opportunity to finally meet you all when you came over just a few short years ago and were able to introduce you to other members of the family here in "Plastic Paddy Land". Our subsequent meetings, especially our visit to stay with you in Tullywest and our very boozy night in a country pub in Conway, is how we will choose to best remember Mark. On those warm hearted evenings with storytelling, political critique and great humour, despite his condition, we found a kindred spirit. In all but one aspect. His football inclinations were suspect to say the least!

The fact that he was still swapping jokes, funny videos, books and political insights until very recently are an indication of his fighting spirit. We're so sorry that the present crisis prevents us from being there to celebrate his life with family and friends tomorrow. Our thoughts will be with you.

Dear Virginia, Lorea, Fiona and all the family.

We feel very lucky that we had the pleasure of forming a friendship with Mark these last few years. We shared a good few laughs and enjoyed swapping a number of LFC/EFC jokes - we didn't hold the fact that he was a "RED" too much against him ...!!!!

Unfortunately we're unable to travel over for the celebration of his life on Wednesday and will therefore raise a glass or two our end and celebrate him in our our own way here on Wirral.
