So very sad to hear this news - Dicey was a great man with a huge heart and always smiling. I was fortunate enough to know him through two stints working together at ABN Amro and Canaccord. His positive outlook and big personality will never be forgotten. RIP big man - you were loved by everyone.

Such devastatingly sad news to hear of Mark’s passing. I had the honour and pleasure of working with him in London. He was everything everyone has already said about him here, charming, intelligent, kind and he had an acutely sharp wit and generous spirit. He was always fun to be around. You couldn’t meet a nicer person. He just shone at everything he did and he has been taken from this world far too soon. My deepest condolences to all of his family. This is too painful for you all.

I knew Mark a little at OURFC, as part of a very talented Irish contingent. Although he was a senior Blues player, he was always approachable and friendly to us younger guys in the U21 side – he had a great manner about him.
Very gifted player and always smiling - a great guy to have around the club.

As neighbours in Blainroe we spent many summers getting up to the kind of stuff kids do. Those days will never be forgotten.
To this day , still jealous of his Millennium Falcon , when we were probably 10 years old.

Mark always gave of his best and was a formidable competitor on the pitch. Off the pitch he was an absolute gentleman who enriched the lives of everyone he met.

I was very sorry to hear of Mark's passing. I've been a client of Mark's for many years and knew him as a true professional who I admired, as well as being a friend. He generously used to give me the benefit of his advice over the years on life generally as well as different opportunities along the way and gave me steers and insights that have stayed with me. He was so generous with his time and his words and it was always fun to spend time in his company. A true gentleman. My condolences to all his family. May he Rest In Peace.

Mark(Dicey) was the warmest person I had the privilege of being friends with. We did the MBS (which he breezed through until movie duties took over his thesis). Both my wife, Linda, and I knew and loved Mark growing up, a night out in south county Dublin was always better when Mark arrived. Heaven will be a better place with Mark up there. Love and thoughts with you - the family.

I'm another who played rugby with 'Reills' during his time in Oxford in 1995-96. I wasn't the best tackler and Mark was, so I asked him once for some help and he spent about an hour going through technique with me after one training session. Made a huge difference and it's stuck with me for the last 30 years: thanks for lending him to us all back then!

So sorry to hear Mark has left us. I was always struck by his level of engagement with whatever we were working on together, his courtesy and good humour, even when things weren't going well. It was a genuine pleasure to spend time with him, he will be missed.

At the service today there was talk of the influence Mark had on people’s lives. Not only was he charismatic and a fun person to be around, he was someone I respected and admired. He was there for advice when I was trying to decide on an opportunity to study abroad. He gave great advice, he was right, and I had one of the best years of my life! I will cherish my very fond memories of Mark down through the years. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family. Rest in peace Dicey.
