Marlene! She was amazing🙏 she was so thoughtful to her neighbours in Castlegardens in Enniscorthy. Thanks to Marlene crawling through my dad’s window one night she helped get him to hospital after a fall and being on the ground for hours. She always looked out for her friends and neighbours.
Marlene then had her faithful dog Mysty, she’d do the rounds of all the neighbours, honey from the market for one, a newspaper for another, cake for another and so on.
She held the community together!
Always so interesting to talk to, highly intelligent lady that she was, always on top of current affairs from politics to philosophers to artists and authors, environmental issues, she would give any mind a run for their money!
She was such an interesting person and caring person.
Very saddened to hear of her passing.
Heartfelt condolences to her family and friends.
Safe home Marlene you will always be remembered ypur energy was unique.

Marlene was my late father’s neighbor for several years in Wexford. Whenever I visited my dad, she would always pop in to say hello. She often helped him with day-to-day chores and made sure he was alright, as he was disabled and needed a little extra care.
She was a wonderful woman, and I truly enjoyed the brief time I got to know her. Smart, fascinating, and full of life — I even remember her once telling me she’d worked for the CIA back in the 70s, which was wild to hear.
Her kindness, generosity, and the genuine care she showed my father were a real testament to her character. It was a pleasure to have known you, Marlene. Rest easy. My deepest condolences to her family and loved ones.
