It was with great sadness and a deep sense of loss that we learned of Martha’s passing and we wish to extend our deepest sympathy to Charlotte and Graeme, her extended family and her many friends.
We became great friends with Martha through the County Kildare Archaeological Society and our friendship was cemented during the many outings of the Society over the years. One outing stands out, that being the visit to Lismore Castle where she shared her knowledge of such historic properties. It was an honour to have known her and we will miss her greatly.
We are currently in the US and regret being unable to attend her farewell Service and her final journey to her place of rest. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

Have very fond memories of martha a very interesting and unusual lady and her late husband .i knew them 35 years or more and we had lady called peggy shane carter that brought us all together with a love for antique irish vernacular country furniture .i have very fond memories of these times may martha rest easy and much love to graeme and charolete

I didn’t have the privilege of knowing her personally, but I know her son Graeme, who always spoke of her with such love and admiration.
