Anne, Fintan and all the Barry family, so sorry to read about Martin's passing. I didn't actually work with him, but knew him from my Irish National days. He was an absolute gentleman and always had an encouraging word. He'll be missed.

Anne, John, Michelle and extended family we are so sad to hear about Martin's sad passing. His involvement and contribution over the years in the residents association, youth work, football club and the golf club was immense. We always felt we had someone to go to with any problems, and for someone to have the craic with as Martin was always up for that.

Anne, John and Michelle can we just say how lucky we were to have your Dad in our lives. He was the kindest, funniest, most gentle and calming person, always willing and wanting to brighten people’s days. He loved the choir and his golf (in latter times particularly the lunch and chats) and he loved working with the Juniors. He spoke often, with such great pride, about his grandchildren and it was clear to see the love he felt for each and everyone of them. He was a great friend, a great neighbour and, in the way we viewed him, a family member who will be sorely missed, but I’m sure Martin will be so happy to be reunited with his wife Mary

Fintan and family, it was a pleasure to get to know Martin in Irish National. I have beautiful memories of him in our compulsory French class when UAP took us over. Martin was a true gentleman.

So many lovely childhood memories of the Barrys and Martin and Mary, always hand in hand, he always keeping a watchful eye on her and her throwing her eyes up to the sky at his mischief and entertainment: 'don't be encouraging him Ciara!, she'd say. He was a dote, and kind and caring in bucketloads too and so so proud of all his family. A really wonderful friend to Dad and a great support over the last few years with Mum.
