Our condolences on Martin's passing; a wonderful musician and scholar. Recalling our 'first Tuesdays' monthly trad sessions in Coomhola many years ago, driven by his gently inventive rhythm guitar. A wonderful man. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam uasal.

My sincere condolence for the loss of your father Martin. It is sad that we lost contact but I often thougt about all of you. Today I was talking to a friend about the pottery and I looked it up to learn what happened.

I think of Martin (and Parvin) with so much love, and send love and strength to Samira and Robert, and all their remaining family.

I wish also to add that Martin was a wonderful and very welcome addition to the Dunmanway Community Choir, and is deeply missed by all our members, who send their love too. We were blessed with his beautiful resonant singing voice and lovely company.

May his memory be a blessing for us all xxxx

Lots of memories of ~Celtic Tiger ~ times when I would visit in late evening to collect a
Kiln Full of pottery & we would spend hours wrapping
each piece individually in newspaper.
Coffee always followed made by the lovely Parvin.
Time brings change but good memories never fade.
Martin was a wonderful ceramist & was very proud of his creations.

The bed matress against the wall at the bottom of the stairs (in case you decided to run/fall down the stairs) are a small ode to the man’s genius.

Martin (and the late Parvin) were my first friends & neighbours when I moved to West Cork in 1989. We remained close friends ever since; I cannot say enough about the warmth, hospitality, craic & music we all shared in Lyre and then throughout
the years. Martin joined our choir in 2004 & he was such a brilliant bass singer, hitting the low tones like nobody else. We still miss Parvin & we will miss Martin terribly too. Much love to you Samira & Rob, and how lucky you were to have had such talented, kind and interesting parents ❤️
