My life was all the richer for meeting Martin and he was a tremendous Character ( And I have had the pleasure of meeting a few ) Probably unknown to himself He was the “Auld Stock” Which is one of the highest allocates you can pay to a sound Irish man , he was a class man who was engaging and great company’s . I was especially fond of him as he spoke from the heart he was a good good man. I suppose I was especially fond of him because of the great relationship he had with Miah Murphy who was one of my fathers best friends and we had quite a bit to talk about when we met to say the least. May he rest in eternal peace

Our Dad John,(South County) used to have his evening ‘tea- break’ in the Silver Key and he had many a laugh with Martin over the years. Dad & Mum had the greatest respect for him.
