Martin was one of the most intelligent people I have ever met. I broke his heart on the St. Brigid’s production of Skin of our teeth when I couldn’t learn my lines. It what an incredibly empathetic director.
We had great times together in Clarke’s, at the Dublin Theatre Festival, at numerous gigs and down here in Clonmel. I learned so much from Martin. It was my loss that we lost contact and it will be forever one of my greatest regrets. Such a beautiful, talented person. Deepest condolences to Annmarie, Valerie and Angela.

Very sorry for your loss. Martin was a great man. I knew him through the Theatre. I worked with on a couple of productions with St. Bridgets drama group, Drogheda. He was a very good Director and Actor. He was very well respected. He will be very sadly missed.

I'm shocked & saddened to learn that Martin has passed. He was a genuinely lovely man. My dad had him install our heating system 40 years ago because he was trustworthy and the best at his trade. He also told dad this heating system would outlive him. Dad always liked value for money. 40 years on, true to his testament, it has outlived dad and is still doing its job today. He was kind, funny, witty and caring but to you, I know he was so much more. I cant imagine what its like to lose a sibling. My thoughts are with the whole Collins family, especially your mum, his wife, children and grandchildren. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

So deeply sorry to hear of Martins death, such a lovely and genuine man, remember when we used play with him and his sisters years ago in ballsgrove.
